Christmas Lunch

December 10, 2009

xmas_puddingSo If you have ever been here before you may have noticed that my recipe offerings are not what you might find on other blogs and are more geared for the single gentleman’s meals.

So what have you lovely ladies that are preparing the Christmas lunch for those who do not have the cooking gene (read most men) have planned for our pleasure remember its Christmas so it must be a meal with many courses.

Or have you chosen to free yourself from spending the day in the kitchen while the rest of the family watch James bond and play, and booked a meal at a restaurant or another alternative?

We always do dinner at hubs grandmothers on christmas eve and then my mums on christmas day, but I always spend the night before cooking. This year i’m making pumpking bread as always. I normally make about 25 loaves b/c some peeps in the family think they need a loaf to take home with them.. I’ll probably make a white chocolate cheesecake as well and some cookies for the kidlets and maybe some rice crispy treats. I’m making a cheeseball too

We have Christmas eve dinner at Mum’s, Christmas lunch with our sons at our home, Christmas dinner at our home with my extended family and our married daughter, and Boxing Day dinner with extended family at Sister In Law’s. All in all, very nice.
