The Big Idea!

November 19, 2009

ideas If we were to turn the clocks back and had to start afresh what would you invent?.

Let’s assume the scenario that alien’s have attacked/intervened and have taken all technological items from the earth as they are conducting an experiment/think we are killing the planet. this includes everything from your PC to the wheel and wiped our collective memory.

All traces of technology related information is gone and we have food, clothing and the means to live a basic living with no further alien threat.

What Would you like to be credited for inventing (remember no previous knowledge) and why would you want to be associated with that invention, would you give it up for the betterment of all or would you want compensated in some manor (remember money does not exist).

If would invent the Internet but alas, Al Gore beat me to it. I’d also invent some way to totally block porn and possibly burn up computers who try to access it.

Hi S, This internet and computers, sounds all very complicated. also on the subject of Porn, you do know how to tell when you are getting old? when you watch a porn movie and find yourself thinking “Goodness that bed looks comfy!”

I would invent something that would make round doughy things with salami, tomato, cheese, pepperoni, olives, onion, capsicum, chilli & ham on it.
Maybe I would call it a vacuum cleaner, no that doesn’t sound right, a blender, no that’s not right either. Darn aliens wiping our collective memory. Wish I could remember what those things were called. Oh I know I’ll call it a Mulcher. You put a round doughy thing underneath it & put the ingredients in the top hole & they fall onto the doughy thing already chopped into little bits. Then just cook it when someone invents an oven

Mulcher sounds interesting, however what’s an oven?

I can’t even fathom such a thing.. My mind shuts down at the thought of not having technology.. complete break down… what was the question?

well considering I lived 6 months w/ out technology (electricity) after hurricane Ike destroyed my house and the insurance co wouldn’t pay up.. I feel i’ve earned the right (read proven myself that I can live w/ out it) to not want to think about it ever again.. It was a very very miserable 6 months. It was harsh. I can survive w/ out it but don’t have ANY desire to do so.
