Daisy 1I would like to introduce you to my wee Daisy.

She’s not feeling herself just now as she has come back from the vet where she had to have some dental work done (the only thing not covered by the insurance! Figures Don’t it).

She had a general anaesthetic as she had to get some teeth out and it took quite a while to shake it off. I must admit she looked really upset and confused and that on its own is a strange thing to see as in a cat .

Thankfully we have a really good vet who you can tell really has a passion for animals, and an added bonus they don’t charge an arm or a leg however I don’t think Daisy or Sabrina share this View.

I am worried about her she is still not quite herself yet, and I think she is in a huff with me as she will not talk to me but is quite happy to sit and stare at me from the other side of the room. You know that look of distain that only a cat can pull off making you feel about 6 inches tall, that’s the one I am getting at the moment .

What I have also noticed is our cat Sabrina was not pleased when she came back, now they can be quite friendly or indifferent to each other but when Daisy came back from the vets there was displays of displeasure, ever heard of the expression having a hissy fit?

Now I am curious as to why this would be, could it be for one of the following answers

  • The smell of the vet’s surgery?
  • The smell of other animals (even though no physical contact has been made)?
  • the smell of the anaesthetic?

Now Sabrina had the same thing done a few months ago (they are getting old girls now) and Daisy had the same reaction to Sabrina when she came back from the vet there were displays of displeasure.

If you have any ideas or can offer an answer, Please let me know.

Daisy is sleeping on the couch on the other side of the room which is a step in the right direction as last night she wanted nothing to do with anybody, where as she would normally sell her soul for a petting.

They say that time heals all wounds, hopefully only a few more days now!
